I’ve been slacking on lewks but I am trying to get back into it. I recently got this skirt (pink + red and in houndstooth?? I had to have it) and it’s such a great weight and style as the temperature drops. But the whole outfit was actually based around the earrings. Usually I start with shoes or a bottom and plan my outfit up but today I worked down. I’m happy with how it turned out and I still stayed pretty warm considering how much the temperature has dropped.

Back at it with a mirror pic lewk. I wore this blazer over the weekend over a little black dress and I just love it so much I thought I would pull it back out for a bit of pop on an otherwise pretty plain outfit. Houndstooth is probably one of my favorite prints and I just love the way blazer fits. Great and easy, would definitely also wear with jeans!

I need to find a better spot for photos. The lighting is so bad. I don’t love the way this photo looks but I did feel very good in this lewk. I had a lot of walking to do and it was one of those fall days where the weather was all over the place so this fit the bill well. I had my Barbour coat too for when it got cool and the black all over was sharp but casual because of the hat. I think the top part of this lewk would also go great with leggings or a pair of jeans.

Excuses the weird photo but it was actually the one I liked most from today. I’m still experimenting with the lights on/off and natural light. This is hallway light on. I came up with this outfit last week but wanted to wear it on a day when I was seeing people because I knew it was going to be a good one. I always like when I have the opportunity to wear this skirt. The colors are so fun and bright! The double gingham worked well and I’m so happy to be mixing prints a bit (well same print, different scale). Will definitely repeat!!

First day of Autumn and I wanted something bright to bring in the new season. I love this cardigan and thought switching it up with the wide letter pants worked well, especially given the similar greens. Then I used the tie that is normally the pant belt as headband to keep it cohesive. I really like the way I look in black but I just love color and this outfit made me happy.

I’ve set up a camera and tripod so I can get some non-mirror pics so we’ll see how this goes. It’s a little washed out in this picture but hopefully I can play around with it to get a good system going.

I just wanted to be cozy today. The shirt underneath was fine but would have worked better if it was tighter and/or a bodysuit. I love this dress so much. Overall a decent lewk but I would tweak it more in the future.

I liked the way the shoes pulled this look together. I’m clearly very into these joggers (in all three colors) and like the way the can be dressed up or down. The only thing I’m not loving is this blazer. Which is sad because it’s gorgeous and a great shape and I’m trying to wear blazers more in general. But it’s just not my color. Or maybe I should have worn a brighter pop shirt? Something isn’t working on the top.

Rare outfit! Just something casual for Friday. I usually think of this blouse as more formal but I figured I hadn’t wore it in a while so it would be fine to mix it up a bit and pair with jeans. I really like this belt and I’m surprised by how much use I’ve gotten out of it. It’s not the highest quality but now I know if I was to invest in a wider type belt it would be worth it.

It’s been crazy hot lately and I kind of thought this outfit was a bit more Fall-esque but it’s so crazy cold with the air conditioning inside the building that I said to heck with it. I think I could have made it a bit lighter with different shoes but the color of the loafers picked up the color in the blouse perfectly so I couldn’t resist. Overall, I am happy with how it came out. I really love these pants and know that I am well on my way to getting my 30 wears out of them – at least!

As much as I love buying new clothes, I am trying to be more mindful when it comes to my closet. I saw an Instagram reel about a woman not picking up a cute, cheap shirt at a thrift shop because she knew she wouldn’t get 30 wears out of it. One big thing on my side is that I usually keep my clothes for a long time – I am literally just getting rid of some shirts I’ve had since grade school. On the other hand, I do have a lot of clothes so I don’t wear what I have too often. I have started to track my wears in a spreadsheet which is helping me visualize my favorites and also force me to not just go for the same pieces, time and time again. I can’t go back in time and un-purchase all my clothes but I can try to be more mindful moving forward!

This was a thrown together lewk but I was so happy with how it flowed. I love this top; I think the neckline is so flattering and the color is on it is so pretty. Wanted something light since it’s still one million degrees out so I went with the joggers but the shoes made it seem a bit more polished. A success!
